An experienced pilot and senior manager, Alastair Scott "Scotty" completed his flight training in New Zealand where he began his aviation career as a Flight and Ground Instructor. After completing a year of instructing Scotty moved to Maun, Botswana where he flew tourists into the Okavango Delta. While in Maun he was appointed Chief Pilot of a large charter company as well as being a Botswana CAA Flight Examiner and founding the Maun Air Operators Search & Rescue program.

Soon after returning home to New Zealand, Scotty began flying Metroliner's regionally and had the opportunity to flight plan and ferry an aircraft across the Tasman to Australia via Lord Howe Island. He returned to Africa in 2002 and helped set up an East African airline where he worked in many different roles including Flight Safety Officer and Training Captain.

He later set up his own aviation consulting company, offering general consulting services including business development, auditing services, quality & safety management and manual development. He is currently an IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Lead Auditor and Evaluator, conducting IOSA audits on airlines throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. At THINK Scotty is responsible for the development and monitoring of all training programs including the quality assurance program.
