Crew Recurrent Training

A UK CAA study has recently shown that a major factor involved in accidents is “poor handling techniques by operating crew derived through poor instruction”.

THINK can help you address this potential threat through our structured GroundPlan and FlightPlan crew recurrent training programs. These Plans are a unique and comprehensive way in which to ensure effective training and evaluation is being completed while also meeting minimum regulatory requirements and generally increasing the overall operating standards of crew. It allows the Operator to better track and analyse training results and outcomes, thus helping you to target potential weak areas throughout the operation, so additional training or information can be provided to the crew. The program includes:

  • A GroundPlan approach that breaks all mandatory items down into monthly modules for easy management of training and evaluation;
  • A FlightPlan approach that ensures the crew conduct Operator Proficiency Checks that capture all mandatory manoeuvres as well as helping create a standardised approach to check and training;
  • Structured regular training meetings that help bring training staff together to discuss the continued effectiveness of the recurrent training program;
  • An InstructorPlan approach that ensures check and training staff have met and will continue to meet mandatory qualification requirements as well as maintaining a standardized approach to check and training.
